Tulbaghia violacea variegata

Tulbaghia violacea variegated -Society Garlic
Variegated Society Garlic

Tulbaghia violacea variegata is commonly known as Variegated society garlic. It’s an evergreen, clumping perennial. The thin leaves are a green/grey with a cream border. From spring right through till autumn it produces clusters of violet flowers on slender stems.

A perfect plant for cottage gardens, as a border or mixed garden beds. The plants do smell like garlic. That can be a good or bad thing depending on your taste.

Tulbaghia violacea variegata grows best in a sunny position with well draining soil. Although we have had great success with it in boggy areas. It’s a small grower only reaching about 40cm in height. Will tolerate light frosts.

We grow variegated society garlic at our wholesale nursery located in Drouin, West Gippsland. If you would like to buy Tulbaghia violacea variegata (Variegated Society Garlic) click the button below to check current availability and pricing.
