Sarcococca confusa (Sweet box)

Sweet box- Saracocca confusa
140mm Sweet box

Sarcococca confusa (sweet box) is a small evergreen shrub. It has a compact growth habit. The leaves are dark green and glossy. During winter and spring it produces small white flowers that are incredibly fragrant.

A great hedging or screening plant in part shade to shaded areas. Also perfect for adding some winter interest to any garden.

Sweet box will grow to 3m high if allowed. But it can be pruned into a low hedge if desired. It prefers the shade but will grow in full sun if the soil is kept moist. We have some in full sun and they are frost tolerant once established.

We propagate sweet box via seed at our wholesale nursery located in Drouin, West Gippsland. We sell them in a 140mm pot. If you would like to buy Saracococca confusa (sweet box), click the button below to check current availability and price.
