Dianthus are a flowering, low growing, compact perennial. They are grown for their colourful flowers. There are many colours available from whites, pinks, multicolours to red. The foliage is usually a grey colour and stays very low. Flowers occur mostly in spring but they will flower sporadically throughout the year.

A perfect plant for cottage gardens, rockeries, mixed plantings, borders and even hanging baskets.

Once they become established they are incredibly hardy and will tolerate a wide range of soils. If you prune the spent flowers it will prolong the flowering period.

We propagate and grow dianthus in a range of colours at our nursery located in Drouin, West Gippsland. The plants we sell are in 140mm pots, grown outdoors and ready for the garden. If you would like to buy dianthus click the button below to check current availability and pricing.
